NeffDesign.net is the digital home of me, Paul J. Neff! I am a Graphic Designer, Photographer, Digital Artist and Musician (read "guitar-nut") based in Arden NC.

I was born in Bryan Texas and grew up south of Boston MA with my mother, father and younger brother. I was very artistic and meticulous from a very young age, always drawing and coloring. In high school I excelled at Fine Art, Architecture and Photography then spent a short time at the School of Museum of Fine Arts, Boston where I had a concentration in Photography. I later moved on and attended classes at the New England Institute of Art in Brookline MA where I received my Associates Degree in Audio Engineering and latter my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design.

Aside from design I am also an avid Photographer, shooting primarily landscape and nature. I have also photographed numerous products for Boston Green Goods Inc. My biggest photographic influences are landscape pioneer Ansel Adams, Chinese pictoral photogrpaher Don Hong Oai , urban photogapher Weegee and National Geographic Adventure Photographer Michael "Nick" Nichols.

This October I will be starting work on my first guitar (a flat-top steel string) under the expert tutelage of renowned Asheville NC Luthier, Brad Nickerson (www.nickersonguitars.com). I am extremely excited to have this oportunity to fullfill a nearly life long dream and to hopefully start myself on an exciting new path in my life.
